Job description

About Braavo

Braavo Capital has financed mobile app growth for more than ten years. We’ve deployed billions of dollars to hundreds of app companies through revenue-based products — App Store advance payouts, revenue-based financing, and large credit facilities — underwritten on our own direct integrations with the app stores, ad networks, payment processors, MMPs, and everything in between.

We’re in a phase of rapid expansion, with multiple lines of business and several new product rollouts coming through 2026 and early 2027. We’re hiring for a handful of mission-critical roles to support it, and the Head of Originations is at the top of the list.

The Role

You own origination end to end — from the first conversation to a signed term sheet: building demand in a market that’s still emerging, working out what a company actually needs, negotiating the terms, and carrying the deal through documentation without losing context.

Most capital providers in the mobile ecosystem sell one product and spend their time convincing companies to want it. We don’t. Our range runs from working capital against app store receivables through to large credit facilities, and the job is figuring out which combination fits a company’s economics, timing, and capital structure. It’s a consultative sale rather than a pitch.

You’ll be building this role from the ground up, so there isn’t an established playbook — we need someone entrepreneurial enough to figure things out on the fly. That said, you’ll be working directly with our founder & CEO, so you’ll have the institutional knowledge and experience on hand to learn quickly, adapt, and succeed.

What You’ll Own

Market engagement

  • Build and run Braavo’s origination motion — outbound, inbound, referral, event-driven — and own the top-of-funnel number.

  • Represent Braavo in the market: industry events, podcasts, social channels, written content, and the private communities where app finance leaders actually talk to each other.

  • Build referral relationships that produce recurring flow — agencies, platforms, VCs and venture debt funds whose portfolios need capital they don’t provide, advisors and fractional CFOs.

Diagnosis and structuring

  • Run first-pass diligence yourself. Read a company’s revenue, cohorts, payout timing, and cash cycle well enough to know what it can support.

  • Match the situation to the right structure — or tell them we’re not it. Saying “not yet” well matters; plenty of those companies are fundable two quarters later.

  • Own the term sheet: sizing, pricing, advance rates, thresholds, reporting, exclusivity. Negotiate directly with founders, CFOs, and their counsel.

  • Stay on the deal through documentation and close, advocating for it to land while balancing what the customer needs against what we need.

  • Bring back what’s costing us deals — pricing, speed, structure, competitor behavior. You’ll be closer to the market than anyone here, and a real voice in what we change.

What Success Looks Like

  • Months 1–3. Fluent in our products and the underwriting behind them, with first qualified conversations underway and first term sheets out.

  • By month 12. A repeatable origination motion with measurable conversion, multiple closed deals you sourced yourself, and referral relationships producing flow without you pushing each one.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who can meet a founder or CFO at their level on both halves of the conversation — how their business actually makes money, and how the financing works. That usually comes from equity investing or investment banking in gaming and consumer apps, corporate development at a scaled publisher, an origination seat at a specialty finance or venture debt fund, or growth leadership with real finance depth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in investment banking, equity investing, corporate development, private-credit investing, or a deal-facing business development role — in mobile gaming, consumer apps, or an adjacent sector.

  • Fluency in how app businesses make money and where their cash sits: cohorts and payback, subscription versus IAP, app store payout mechanics, working capital cycles.

  • Demonstrated deal structuring and negotiation experience. You’ve owned terms, not only relationships.

  • A real network among app and game founders, publishers, studio CFOs, and the advisors around them.

It helps if you’ve been on the operator side yourself, or have worked in — or sold against — non-dilutive capital like factoring, revenue-based financing, or venture debt. Prior lending or credit committee experience isn’t required: we’ll teach you the underwriting framework, and we can’t teach market fluency and a network.

Location & Structure

•    Based in the United States or Europe. Remote, with regular travel to industry events and client meetings.

•    Reports directly to the founder & CEO.

•    Base salary plus variable compensation tied to originated and funded volume, and equity participation.

Interested? Send a note and whatever best shows how you think about deals — a memo, a model, something you’ve closed. We read every one.
